HISTORY OF SAN VICENTE
The official name of the barrio is San Vicente.
Formerly the barrio was called "Paitan" named after the paitan tree that grew in the place. The trunk of this tree was about two meters. This tree was cut and made into tables, frames, weapons, and other pieces of furniture.
The date of establishment of the barrio was in 1889. Its original founders were Cabezang Felipe Luciano and Toribio Dizon.
Because of the peace and order problem, many families built their houses in Sta. Cruz, a neighboring barrio of San Vicente which is nearer the poblacion.
